Arnett Thomas of Maryland Heights, MO was called home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2006 at the age of 66. Born in St. Louis, MO on July 17, 1940, as the third child and only son of the late Earl Thomas and Elizabeth Thomas, he grew to become a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, friend, veteran and businessman. A resident of the city of St. Louis until 1971, he was a graduate of Sumner High School Class of 1958, before eventually joining the United States Air Force in the following year.
Arnett Thomas honorably served his country as a patrol officer and desk sergeant for the Air Force Military Police until 1962. During his time within the military he traveled around the world ensuring the security of both domestic and international Air Force bases from Japan to Germany.
While in the service he also completed business courses at the University of Maryland at College Park, through their Overseas Learning Program, Central Missouri State University and Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville.

Arnett married Montwella (Monte) Fredricka Pressley on May, 17th 1964 and over time became the proud father of four children. In 1964, he also began his employment with Colonial Baking Company a former division of Anheuser-Busch Brewing Company. After his humble beginnings as an Office Clerk, he eventually retired after 25 years of service as an Office Manager for bakery operations in Alton, IL.
In 1985, he began his journey as a full-time entrepreneur and business partner of ETC Sales and Service Company, Inc. His journey as an entrepreneur would eventually include ventures in the commercial landscaping and contracting, food services and even consumer electronics. His highlights as a businessman include acquiring and managing contracts with Lambert International Airport, Federal and state governments as well as some of the most prominent municipalities and neighborhoods of the St. Louis area.
As a sports fan and devout father, he joyfully spent his spare time over the years watching his children and grandchildren participate in competitive athletics, especially track and field, from elementary school through the collegiate levels.

He is survived by his wife, Montwella Thomas, three daughters, Dr. Cyd Charisse Williams of Ellisville, MO, Tracy Lynette Thomas of Silver Spring, MD and Ericka Arnette Thomas of St. Louis, MO, son, Arnett Thomas II of Bowie, MD, six grandchildren, mother, Elizabeth Thomas and two sisters, Earlene Weathersby of Florissant, MO and Evelyn Lee of Hazelwood, MO.
