On behalf of the children, the Director – Mirriam Mazibuko, and the Board of Trustees of the Orlando Children's Home; I would like to thank everyone for their generous donations that helped to build Arnett's House, a new and improved home for the Toddler's of Orlando Children's Home. With your generosity, we were able to complete the construction of a 1,000 square foot expansion of the Children's Home in July 2008. Arnett's House for toddlers was designed to address the growing need to accommodate orphaned toddlers in Soweto and surrounding areas of South Africa. The expansion afforded the Children's Home with the necessary room to add 20 more cribs so that more toddlers in need of a home could find comfort, peace, safety and of course education at the Orlando Children's Home.
We have made a huge accomplishment in redirecting the future of many toddlers in Soweto by providing them a comfortable home at Orlando, however, we still haven't met our goal to raise $40,000. With the rising cost of construction, the project cost exceeded the initial $40,000 budget and thus, there is still money owed to the Construction company. Additionally, the interior of Arnett's House still needs to be furnished and additional cribs need to be purchased. Please help support the future of our world's children with your generosity, we only have 17,000 more US dollars to change the life of thousand of toddlers in South Africa for decades to come. Any contribution is appreciated.
Thank you for your support.
